David Johnson is from Colorado Springs, CO. He has recently returned from Argentina after living there for almost four years. While he was in Argentina, he spent time between Córdoba and Buenos Aires working in a number of positions, most importantly as an instructor specializing in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
David graduated in 2008 from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he studied International Affairs with a geographic specialization in Latin American Politics as well as Spanish and Portuguese Language and Culture.
David also participated in a graduate level Spanish Linguistics Seminar at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain, and he also spent six months studying the role of Latin America in global politics and also Argentine national politics and economy at three prestigious Universities in Buenos Aires.
Since graduating from college David has dedicated his life to educational instruction at an international level. And his passion for teaching continued to manifest itself at Jefferson Academy Charter School where he taught secondary level Spanish courses upon returning from Córdoba in 2012-2013.
He has spent time traveling in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain and France. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian. He is currently also working as an active translator for various companies and private clients.
Claudia Burdisso was born in Córdoba, Argentina. She has worked in English Institutes in Argentina, and taught individual classes for kids. She has also taught a Theater course in Córdoba at the National University of Córdoba. She has many years of small business administration experience.
Claudia has studied languages for seventeen years. She is very interested in Cultures and Education. At this moment she is studying Theater and Geography at the Metropolitan State University of Denver (GPA 4.0). When she graduates her goal is to stay involved with education at different instructional levels.
She has attended sixteen theater educational seminars, and recently she has joined the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. With regards to language, she is currently studying Italian.
Claudia thinks that learning a new language should be a pleasurable experience, and in order to be this way, the student has to feel confident and be able to laugh at his/her own mistakes. It is all about anticipating that learning is a process, and there are no shortcuts. So, let us enjoy it!

Megan Baertlein grew up in Pennsylvania where she attended a Spanish immersion program from first grade till eighth grade, learning only Spanish. She grew up loving the language as well as the unique and vibrant culture of Latin America. Using the language to travel from the peaks of Machu Pichu, to the coastal city of Guayaquil.
Megan also attended the University of Northern Colorado pursuing a degree in Spanish. She has lived in Colorado Springs for 9 years, enjoying all the wonderful perks of living by the mountains. In the future she hopes to further her education, and hopefully travel to all the corners of the earth gaining more knowledge of the cultures and people that make up this wonderful world.
Siu Grant was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She has extensive experience teaching languages to children, youth and adults from diverse backgrounds. She worked teaching English classes in her country and was an assistant teacher at her college. Her years of experience as a Spanish tutor, ESL teacher and Instructor have taught her how to accompany her student’s learning process in an enjoyable and fruitful manner.
She earned her Bachelor´s degree in Sociology at the Colombian University Externado with the highest GPA in her class. Siu enjoys traveling, meeting different cultures and learning languages. Since she was a little girl she has been a world traveler, she has visited Spain, Perú, Ecuador, México, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Brazil, Italy, France and South Korea. She speaks Spanish, English and French and loves to explore the universe of cultures and diversity that surround us.
She is a producer of an International Street Theater Festival and a manager of a non-profit Theater organization that continues to grow and thrive. She has over 10 years of experience leading projects with communities and individuals. Siu Moved to Colorado 5 years ago and currently works as a translator for school districts, fitness instructor and Spanish teacher.
Her passion in life is to help others achieve their goals and personal successes through following their inspiration. She thinks positive reinforcement, patience and hard work are the keys to learning anything. She will work with you to make the experience of learning a language a fun, effective and successful journey!
Nara Satti was born and raised in Brazil. She had studied Journalism for 2 years at the PUCCAMP University in Brazil when she decided to come to the US in 2006 as an exchange student. She lived in Illinois, and after 1 year she decided to transfer her college credits from Brazil and to give continuity to her studies in the US. She graduated from the College of Lake County in Illinois with an Associates in Arts in 2010, and she graduated with a Bachelors degree in International Studies in 2011 from the University of Wisconsin Parkside. She has been very involved with international students causes and programs through the community college and university she attended. She was a senator for the student government and she was a member of the international club being involved in promoting awareness of other cultures and languages and major cultural events. She is passionate about education, arts, history, cultures, and diversity.
She loves reading, dancing, and she loves the outdoor. Although all of her family is in Brazil, she really loves this country as another place she can call home, and she really enjoys the life in Colorado! Her favorite Brazilian food are Feijoada and Strogonoff, and her favorite Brazilian sweet is brigadeiro. She also speaks some Spanish, and her goal is to start a Masters program the following year and become a ESL instructor.
Jessica D'Felio was born in Gaeta, Italy. She recently moved to Denver, Colorado from Michigan where she lived the majority of her life and completed a BFA in drawing with a minor in painting from Kendall College of Art and Design. She has years of customer care experience and for two years, was involved with hotel reservations for an international hotel company as an Italian Customer Care Executive. Throughout the years, she assisted in various translations and now, is interested in sharing her culture and language skills to those whom find an interest.
While pursuing her education, she was involved as the studio student monitor and as the undergraduate representative on the Alumni board for the Fine Arts Department. Jessica is currently in the process of remaining in contact with the board to further the institution's programs. Within the last year, she was involved with the History Colorado Museum and the Denver Art Museum.
Jessica has some family left in Michigan, but the majority is located in Gaeta, Italy or between Rome and Naples. She is very passionate about her culture and makes sure to continue her Mediterranean diet as best as possible. Her favourite foods are la tiella di polipo (octopus pizza) and lamb.
